The cracked ice pattern on the barrel (or ballpen cap) is intricately designed using laser etching lacquering palladium plating and polishing to achieve the icy effect recalling the ever-changing surface of the Earth's polar ice caps. Clip and trim also plated in palladium.
The fountain pen nib is made from 18kt solid gold with rhodium plating to match the silver trims. Each pen is nestled inside an oval gift box that reflects the beauty of this series.
